REGRETS

One of the worst things I have found about not being true to my heart is regret.  I found an interesting article written by Eric Jackson from Forbes.com  "25 of the Biggest Regrets People Experience in life. "

Almost all of them are a result of not being true to your heart at the time you make a decision.  One choice puts us into a lifetime of circumstances that perpetuate an image that is not who we want to be but rather the acceptable one at the time.

The great thing about life is that change is always possible.  We don't have to sit in the past.  We don't have to worry about the future.  We can take hold of the present and make choices that have positive results in our today!  Next thing we know we have a positive future with less regret!

SHAKESPEARE

Image result for being true to yourself
Some of us don't even know who we are.  We've spent our whole lives censoring our feelings and thoughts to be "acceptable" to others.  Have you ever had a situation where you knew in your heart you shouldn't make that choice?  Later you realize you chose it because of someone else rather than yourself.  How did that make you feel?

To be true to yourself takes courage. It requires you to be introspective, sincere, open-minded and fair. It does not mean that you are inconsiderate or disrespectful of others. It means that you will not let others define you or make decisions for you that you should make for yourself.

Be encouraged to find out who you really are. "How?" you ask.  Start with one question,
"What brings a smile to my face?"

HELLO!

The heart is the most important part of us physically, emotionally and spiritually. The heart is our TRUE self and the source of our health.  It can be soft, hardened, weak, strong, broken and restored.

It is my belief that one can have everything in the world but if you don't have love, you have nothing. I'm not talking about loving someone else or them loving you. I'm talking about loving yourself. The best, the worst, the true you!  The one you were created to be not the "safe" version that people accept.  You know what I'm talking about.

It has been my experience that until I learned to love myself I couldn't show or experience real love.  I've found out that I show others how to love me by the way I treat myself. If I believe I am worthy of love I will find it in others and will attract it to me.

And being a romantic at heart,  I believe that fairy tales can come true!  I believe that I am living my "Happily ever After!"  You can too!  But.... to do so you have to stay true 2 your heart!
